If you are considering whether to make an application to the Redress Board for compensation you should contact the Commissioner for Survivors of Institutional Childhood Abuse (COSICA) who must provide you with general advice and information on making your application.
The Commissioner must also assist you to obtain information relating to any period that you were resident in an institution while under the age of 18 should you wish to do so.
The Commissioner also has a wider role to inform victims and survivors of historical institutional childhood abuse of available services under Part II of Historical Institutional Abuse (Northern Ireland) Act 2019. Further information is available at https://www.cosica-ni.org
